I apologize (and make excuses) for my absence from the blog:

Book Busy

I have been very preoccupied with getting my book self-published and for sale on the internet... and it's finally available for purchase!  Now that I've jumped that hoop, I have to concentrate on marketing the book.  (If you want to help me with that, you can use the linking button at http://www.heavensdeclare.info on your blog or website, tell friends, homeschool groups, e-mail loops, etc.  And, might I add, there's reward for you doing this, because each time you do one of those things, you can enter again in the drawing for a free autographed copy of my book.  Just thought I'd throw that out there...!)  Also, I am finishing the rough draft of my second book, this one on the topic of light.

Word-Processing Busy

On top of that, I have a church bulletin to make every week, and I just had a newsletter to design and edit for our volunteer fire district.  Plus, there are always extra signs and handouts to type for Dad.

A Fun Visit from Arizona

We enjoyed our visit with the M's from AZ.  They arrived Monday morning, and we went down and met them at the church parking lot; we showed them the church and the little country store, and then took them down to our place.  We hung out the rest of the day, then took them down to visit the C's just before dinner.  The visit was so short that Dad invited the C's to bring their dinner down to our house.  So we had three families (plus the mother of the B's who dropped by with some groceries she picked up in town) all eating Mexican food: our tacos and burritos, and the C's taco salad.  Very good food, and very good fun.

Firewood!

Today, around 4 o'clock, we are going to gather firewood.  A couple from church who own several hundred acres of timber are going to let us have some firewood... oh, goody!  That means more wood to split.  I enjoy splitting wood, although the 8-pound splitting maul does get heavy after time!  Last year my sisters were watching out the window, and they said when our landlord's son came around the corner of the house next door and saw 5' 2", 105-pound me splitting wood, he looked really amused.  I just can't imagine why... can you?

Going 50 and Turning Grey

Yup.  I continue learning to drive.  But, this time, as you may have surmised from the above title, I actually went 50 on a straight stretch of the highway.  Related to the alleged grey hair?  Maybe, maybe not.  We were sitting at the table and my mom found a single strand of my hair that was so light we couldn't decide if it was blonde or grey!  The Bible says grey hair is a crown, but it doesn't say that about blonde hair... hmm...
