In my house we do have some smartphones, but 99% of the time it's books. ;)
You too? ;)
Oh, and FYI, my littlest sister is reading herself "Alice Through the Looking Glass" and ranting about how weird Alice is. "She talks to her cat, and she thinks it can talk. She's just--weird." She's reading a whole year before I was able to. O.o.
Until Monday!
Somehow the thought of being ignored because someone is lost in a book doesn't seem as rude as when someone is ignoring you because they are busy on their iphone. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I wonder why... Do you think it is because books can seem more worthwhile or sober-minded?
DeletePerhaps it has something to do with the fact that phones often indicate a conversation not shared with the rest of the room and seem almost like a secret conversation.
DeleteVery true! Books can be private similar to a conversation but it does seem different somehow.
