Adventure is out there!

So, December has been a really busy month for us so far. Added to the exciting busyness of Christmastime is that we are moving from one state to another. I thought I would share a couple of really funny pictures from today...

1. This is actually my desk saran wrapped by the amazing team of Paul and Bluebie. They saved it for last because we were playing post office for a good part of the day with it. : ) One of my sisters said it looks like a piano. : )
2. He was being twerpy. There was (almost) nowhere else to put the boxes. How could I resist barricading him in the bathroom while he was getting ready for bed?

You may also be interested to know the statistics of how many boxes it takes to pack all of my favorite paper. 1 1/2 small to medium boxes for my books, 1/2 a medium box for filled notebooks, and one small box for letters and journals. : ) Does that count as one tree or two?

This will be the second time I've experienced a move from one state to another. It's really interesting to look back and see how God has prepared me (a former comfort-piggy) for such big changes as this. All I can say about it is that I'm learning to love wherever He places me, learning to keep up long distance friendships, and learning to love the possible adventures that are coming up. : )

And I'm still working on loving 24 hour roadtrips. They can be pretty cool in some ways, but when we are halfway through California I sometimes wish they would split it into two states just so we could have some sense of accomplishment in how far we have driven. : )

It'll be good.
